Ford Year: 2009. UK/Ireland Location: Devon. Posted November 3, 2011. I think Ford say the fuel filter is changed every 3 year or 30000 miles. I change the filter on my car every 12 months because they are cheap and easy to change. There are threads on here on how to change them.
SOURCE: Ford focus 2008 tdci 1.6 changed the fuel filter Just make sure that the outlet on the fuel filter is pointing toward's the front or to injector's. There is no air to be bleed out of fuel system, just turn key and fuel system will pressureize, also check your fuel cut off switch might be located at driver side kick panel, will have a round cover with fuel shut off on it. good luck
Hi guys, I've just changed my filter and now my car wont start, I'm thinking its probaby got air trapped somewher in there, and the filter line are not getting any fuel to them, tdci 1.6 sport please help as I'm so desperate to be on the road. This should be the Peugeot 1.6HDI diesel, if it's the same setup as the Peugeots and Citroens there should be a black plunger in between injectors 2 and 3 on the cylinder head that you push until you feel resistance, then hold the throttle down at 3/4 travel and start the engine until it runs.

1) fuel filter housing is full to brim with diesel. 2) rubber seal ring goes on top. 3) filter clips onto the lid. 4) lid and filter goes onto housing. so the rubber ring is a seal between housing and filter top. Oh! When I see folk at garages who jet wash the hell out of their wheels and the steam comes pouring out like a busted rad' They only have themselves to blame hi, i am having similar problems with my 2006 transit connect tdci. glow pug light flashers, then engine cuts out, ( any speed) code po251 showing on code reader. replaced fuel filter as dirty. , intercooler pipes are ok. cannot find any chaffed wires or corroded connections near or on fuel pump. could the fault be the fuel metering solenoid 2007 ford focus 2.0 tdci.
